Revitive Circulation Booster FAQ

Follow

Q: How long does it usually take to experience relief?

A: For most people, it takes a few weeks of daily usage of Revitive, before they start to feel the benefit. Some people start to see an improvement after only a few days, for others it may take 6-8 weeks, especially if they have been suffering for many years. Everyone's different and that's why we include a 60-day (8 weeks) trial period, so everyone has a chance to feel the Revitive benefit.

Q: How easy is it to use Revitive Circulation Booster?

A: Revitive has been specifically designed to be used, at home, by people of all ages. The device comes with a user manual which should be read before use. Simply turn Revitive on, place both feet on the pads, and set the intensity level - sit back, relax and let the device go to work.

Q: How often should I use Revitive?

A: It is recommended to use Revitive daily, for 20-30 minutes. Some people find they get additional benefits from using Revitive more than once a day. We do not recommend more than 6 sessions per day.

Q: Do you stand or sit to use the Revitive Circulation Booster?

A: Do not stand on the machine. Use only when sitting down. Place your bare feet on the foot pads. Use the remote control or the buttons on the device to switch it on and begin the program. You can then increase the intensity to the desired level. Sit back, relax and enjoy.

Q: I exercise regularly. Do I still need to use the Revitive Circulation Booster?

A: Exercise is important and Revitive Circulation Booster is not designed to replace exercise. Research has shown that compared to 20 minutes of heel-toe raising exercises, Revitive Circulation Booster was at least or even more efficient at resolving swelling and circulation.

Q: How far up the leg will the benefits extend?

A: Revitive Circulation Booster helps increase circulation throughout the lower legs, ankles and feet.

Q: How heavy and big is it?

A: All Revitive Circulation Booster devices are designed to be portable, lightweight and easy to store. You can compare the width to a large dinner plate or a 12-inch record. The average weight is 1.5kg.

Q: Is it battery or mains operated?

A: Revitive ProRelief is mains operated. All other models operate via a rechargeable lithium-ion battery.

Q: Does Revitive Circulation Booster make a noise?

A: Revitive Circulation Booster makes no operating noise. However, it does beep at switch on and switch off, one beep at the start and three beeps at the end.

Q: Does Revitive Circulation Booster heat up?

A: No, the Revitive device does not heat up. However, increasing blood circulation will naturally increase foot temperature, helping cold feet.

Q: Does Revitive Vibrate?
A: Revitive is a registered medical device that uses Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) to contract the muscles in the legs and feet. This feels like electrical impulses – it does not vibrate.

Q: Is there anyone who cannot use Revitive Circulation Booster?

A: Revitive Circulation Booster should not be used by some people – to review our contraindications please click here.

Q: What is the right intensity for me?
A: We recommend if you are new to Revitive, start slow and get used to the stimulation. Once you feel comfortable, start slowly increasing the intensity until you achieve strong (but comfortable) calf muscle contractions, and you start to see rocking in the feet and ankles. The aim is to use Revitive on the strongest comfortable intensity. We find most people use Revitive at intensity 40 or more.

If you have the Medic Coach, your application will help guide you to the right intensity for you.

Q: Why does the stimulation feel less intense some days to others?
A: This is often due to hydration. If you are not well hydrated, the stimulation may not feel as strong. We recommend you use Revitive Foot & Leg Cream (or another moisturiser) on the soles of the feet. Having a glass of water 30 minutes before your session will also help.

Q: My Revitive won’t increase intensity.
A: Revitive Medic and Medic Coach have an auto-pause function. Both feet must be on the device for it to operate and increase intensity. Place both bare feet on the device and increase the intensity to take it out of ‘pause’ mode. Sometimes, very dry skin can also cause Revitive to move into ‘auto-pause’. So always ensure, feet are well hydrated or moisturised when you use Revitive.

Q: My Revitive is paused.
Some Revitive models have a handy Auto-Pause feature. This means you can briefly pause your session to grab a cup of tea or answer the door. Your session will resume when you place both bare feet back on the device and tap the + intensity button. Sometimes, very dry skin can also cause Revitive to move into ‘auto-pause’. So always ensure, feet are well hydrated or moisturised when you use Revitive.

Q: (Models with TENS) I have placed my feet on Revitive, why can I not see the TENS symbol on the display?

A: TENS is only available through the Electrode Body Pads. The foot-pads provide EMS only.

Q: (Models with TENS) How do I know which therapy mode I am in when using the Pain Relief Pads/Body Pads?

A: Look at the display on the device. If the Body Pads are in EMS mode, you will see the EMS symbol. If the Body Pads are in TENS mode, you will see the TENS symbol (the user manual will give examples of each symbol – EMS looks like two curved arrows, TENS is a double hexagon shape)

Q: (Models with TENS) why can I suddenly no longer feel the stimulation when using the Body Pads?

A: You may have pressed the other stimulation mode button by accident. The Solution: Pressing the opposite stimulation mode button (i.e. pressing the TENS button when already in EMS mode or vice versa), will reset the timer back to 30 minutes. The intensity will also be reset to zero.

    Hi Kristina,

Sounds like the auto-pause feature. If you don't have both feet on the device, it will sit in 'pause mode'. Try putting both feet on the foot pads then hit the + intensity button. This creates a circuit and should see the device increase in intensity allowing you to feel the stimulation through the foot plate.

Another cause may be low hydration. If you have got both feet on and its still not increasing in intensity, try adding a small amount of moisturiser on the soles of your feet, give it a minute to absorb then try again.

If you the issue is persisting, it would be best to give us a call on 07 5443 9767 to discuss.

    Warm Regards,
    Revitive Australia.

First time using the pads, the Revitive bought today. The pads were working but now it starts and stops.

I am not sure why this is happening.
